Pilot A Makes Applesauce!

Scientist of the Week!

Today our Pilot A friend conducted the rubber egg experiment. She explained that the vinegar dissolved some minerals from the eggshells, making the shells soft. Great job to our scientist of the week!

Scientist of the Week!

Today our Pilot A Scientists experimented with floating and sinking. She explained that heavy objects like marbles push the water aside which causes them to sink. The clay was able to float once the scientist formed it into a boat because the boat pushed more water aside than the marble or the ball. It received a stronger upward push from the water!

First Day in Pilot A!

We had a wonderful first day in Pilot A! We attended an all-school assembly on the field, we made Calvert banners, and met many new friends. We look forward to a fun school year!
