She also read two stories, The Cranky Bear by Nick Bland, and Tidler by Julia Donaldson. Our mystery reader even shared lollipops after the stories. Thank you for coming to visit with Pilot A!

Far Out!

Mr. C. came to visit the entire Pilot class to talk about space. He did a wonderful job explaining our solar system and taking questions from the Pilots. Mr. C. gave each student their very own pack of dried ice cream that you can actually eat in space. It was out of this world!

Scientist of the Week!

Ziploc blubber was a perfect experiment for "Z" week! Our scientist explained that when you create blubber in a ziploc bag and put your hand inside,  it protects your hand from the ice cold water. This is exactly why polar bears need blubber to survive in their arctic climate. Way to go, scientist!

Mystery Reader!

Today our mystery reader came in full costume! He read Blaze and Thunderbolt by C.W. Anderson. Thank you for visiting Pilot A!

Happy 100th Day of School!

Today the Pilots celebrated the 100th day of school. In the morning, we made trail mix by counting 10 items to get to 100 items in our trail mix.

We also cut out a 100 and wore them as glasses!

During math we counted 10 groups of 10 using fruit loops and then we strung the fruit loops onto a necklace.

To continue our celebration of the 100th day of school, we created a journal page where we wished for 100 of ANYTHING!

The Pilots collected 100 things to celebrate the 100th day of school. What a fun day!
