10th Age Buddies

Today we met our 10th Age buddies for the very first time. We listened while they read farm and pumpkin stories! Pilot A looks forward to many visits and exciting activities with our 10th Age buddies!

Apples!

During our apple unit the Pilot students explored a variety of apple related activities. They really enjoyed making applesauce!

We focused on one of our four Calvert pillars, responsibility, for the month of September. Each child brought in an apple and explained how they were responsible at home.

The Pilot students created AB patterns by coloring apples in two different colors.

We also tasted and graphed our favorite type of apple. The class favorite was yellow!

 Happy Birthday Johnny Appleseed!

Mystery Reader!

Dr. Martire was our very first mystery reader in Pilot A! He surprised the class with two books, Harry the Dirty Dog  by Gene Zion, and Big Al and Shrimpy by Andrew Clements. Pilot A enjoyed having Dr. Martire read. Thank you for visiting!

Graphing

Today our Pilot friends had fun graphing their favorite character from Amos McGee. The penguin was the greatest and the owl was the least!
