Our Scientist of the week performed the "Dancing Ice" experiment for "I" week. She demonstrated that ice and vegetable oil have almost the same density, so a block of ice dropped into oil will barely move. Once the drop of water falls off the ice, the ice floats up again. Great job, Scientist!

"S" Week!
During language arts some of the Pilot students created an "S" using their bodies. They also practiced writing an "S" in SAND!
Soaking a Penny
In honor of "S" week, the Pilot A scientist performed the "Soaking a Penny" experiment. She used an eye dropper to show the class that 6 drops of water can fit on the top of a penny without overflowing. This is because water sticks together. The fancy word for this is called cohesion! Super job!
